Holy crap, Cid has an account.

/coloroI'm surprised that the Hanged Man hasn't gotten more credit, to be honest. He's got some reliable, versatile moves, packing a strong black and magic move, the magical one always being in some way effective due to his Essence (which also aids Nera and Priestess's magic damage). On top of that, he possesses the -only- control over the enemy positioning on the field beyond simply blocking their path. Using Gravity Pull to save allies or box in an enemy to the best position for the rest of the team is some of the most inventive use of the battlefield system in the game. On top of that, he's got one of the only lasting Soul Burst's, which seem far more useful than a one time effect alternative, considering the sheer length of boss battles and the ungodly regeneration some of them use. It's just a shame you get him so late in the game, I think, since the opportunities you have to use him effectively are limited to those last few dream battles. But I still think he shines in those, particularly in holding off the two Goldfeeders or dragging the arms of the dream Beholder to a prime location.Plus he looks badass :]colorc/co

A: By the time you get him, the party's so powerful that it doesn't really need him. Hell, you can kill those two Gold Feeders without ever bothering with the heart.B: His Soulburst is so powerful and his attacks so pitifully weak (without Berserk, which is a one-time gimmick since he's guaranteed to die soon if he's low on health) that I just summon him, Soulburst him right away, and switch to the Fool, much like Death and the High Priestess. He's not out long enough for me to think much of him. It's likely neither of those will be issues in part 2, but for part 1 he's certainly my least favorite Tarot next to the Lov

It's a true shame that he only appears for a little bit, but he still demonstrates excellent potential throughout that part, and I certainly hope to see more of him in par

You dismiss Death right away?! You evil.....at any rate, he is right. Hanged Man's Soul-burst is so epic that I tend to use that.... unless I REALLY want to box in the enemy, like Armadas in the late game. The problem with Hanged Man is that it comes too late in the game to be any more effective than the Fool. And ever since EL's lecture on that "marvelous" tarrot (and I don't want you to start on it now) I have been using it more often. It is surprisingly better to use lighting rod than to use meteor strikes in some instances.... but I cannot agree that you just give up Death like that.... what is better than owning your opponent WHILE you heal??? I don't see it...... Lol... and I just noticed..... although Lover is the most controversial and most talked about tarrot, it has ZERO votes...... wow, the irony.

he lover may have 0 votes because many people do not have access to it, and know whats its capable of as it is an extra terot, at this point in time anyw

know what it's capable of and I dislike it because it's overpowered. <_

Because he is a team player. until he is on the field Nera is invincible as through the physical attack she is healed all the time. And his ability to swap characters give a great opportunity to try different tactics.Maybe I did not play enough with the Death but she was not so deadly as others suggested it.
EternalLurker
he be pretty lethal in the right situations. Death's aura is extremely brutal, but as for her close combat potential, despite her decent damage output Iron Maiden costs a crapload of Energy and Slice isn't particularly accurate. I've found it less risky and more efficient simply to spam Soul Eater with her, unless she's fighting enemies with Dodge scores near or at 0, at which point combo her with the Fool's aura and you've got an awesome front-line t

I never thought that Iron Maiden is so costly. Perhaps it is because I always have Sisi as pure magic build. It is hard to not have full energy with her and Emi.... except when I use Emi's attacks.... what is up with Emi's attacks? I never thought it was worth usin
EternalLurker
ell, that's the difference. I use Emi's attacks. At 50 Energy her damage is fairly good and she's very accur

Was Emi made for late-game? I find it hard to fight with her in the beginning because her attacks cost so muc
EternalLurker
In the early parts of the game, she's a good Energy battery because of her high Magic score. When Sisily and potentially Neraine get high enough Magic scores in the late-game, she's not as useful as an Energy battery and is instead a viable damage dealer due to the increased Energy pool you get with the Moon Sha

Hey An... how about "The Empress" instead of Emperor? I feel like queen is more badass than a king..... my personal preference, I think...Lol... Justice doesn't have "the" in the front. I personally don't agree with Justice. How about Arbiter? Or something along the lines of justice..... having Justice kinda sounds like cheap rip-off of DC or Marvel comics...... don't get me wrong, I respect American comics. Its just that Genesis doesn't give that kind of feel to have "Justice" going around.....Speaking of Tower.... would it have Essence of Fort or something? That will be AMAZING!!! Give everyone extra range or something....... that would be grand for my strategy........ In regards.... yah, Emi isn't the best battery in late games.... but when was she ever? For me she is more of calvary role..... as you know, I loiter in the back forting. So Emi does all the mobile crap for me, since she can zip in and out in a flash. I also have used her with Fool to get Gelyan in the right spot for sniping, or to get Sisi out of danger..... she served mobile role for most parts though..
