sizeo:2/sizeoOverwallsizec/sizecStarwish is, much like Ge.Ne.Sis, a story-driven RPG. But that's not it: The game is also a blend with space shooter, and has a heavy touch of visual novel. On top of that, It has heavy anime influence, specially in the art. Rating (based on the ratings that follow): 8.6sizeo:2/sizeoStorylinesizec/sizecBeing this game story-driven, doesn't take much thinking to imagine it has a intense, emotional story. The setting is a space opera, but coloro:#FFFACD/coloro*spoiler* has it's twists. *spoiler*colorc/colorc. The caracters are unique and colourful, laughs coexist with intense drama and with light romance. No matter where you play it, there are always coments about how the game had a good feeling, often compared to finishing a great book. I myself had quite some time watching the story. - 10/10sizeo:2/sizeoGameplaysizec/sizecThe gameplay is definitely not the best point of the game. Actually, it felt more of an excuse to publish the story. While the controls and weapons variety was fine, the set of enemies you fight against when nearing the half are the same you fight on the pen-last level. Also, 9/10ths of the bosses you fight are the same in every planet you go. Players often discredit the game because of that, and some odd bugs during the flight. - 6/10sizeo:2/sizeoRole Playing Elementssizec/sizecThe builds part isn't anything special, more like some taste of RPG. You play with 5 atributes (ATK, DEF, AGI, INT and LUK), buy and equip modifiers (mods) to your fighter, and upgrade your weapons trying to understand your stile. Other than that, you keep going straight to the ending. - 7.5/10sizeo:2/sizeoReplayabilitysizec/sizecThis game scores for having 3 (one hidden) dificulties for playing, a NG+, and some perks that help this tremendously. Also, the story has it's own traits, as you see most lines differently the second (and maybe the third) time you play it. - 9/10sizeo:2/sizeoPerkssizec/sizecThis game's unique perk is the cafe. There, you talk to the other caracters on the ship . The more you talk to a specific caracter, the more you know about his story. If you talk to he/she enough, you can, at the end of the game, see his/hers caracter specific ending, each with it's own values the narrator explain to you afterwards. Some endings are so intense that people coment it made them cry (not me tough, but i'm a little stoic when it comes to fictional stories.) Also, there is one special ending for those really striving to complete this game entirely. - 10/10sizeo:2/sizeoArtsizec/sizecStarwish's art is VERY manga-like. Expect colorful hairs, big eyes, glaring and blushing. Backgrounds are specially amazing given they look (and problaby are) hand made. At least, that's in the visual novel part: The actual game is composed of low-quality pixels that were heavily criticized, specially for blending in the scenario (the author did update an improvement on that.) - Otaku rating: 9/10 Normal rating: 7/10 (i'll use 8/10 as the final rating.)sizeo:2/sizeoSoundtracksizec/sizecThe soundtrack is yet another strong point of this game, specially for the visual novel part. Each song is unique and assists in making the experience deeper and more realistic. I've seen complaints in everything, except the music. - 10/10sizeo:2/sizeoSummarizingsizec/sizec+This game's story is VERY well made.+Both art and story has manga influence.+You can choose your own ending.+high replayability (specially if you like to get all of the game.)+Unique in it's blend of different game genres.+Solid and perfectly placed soundtrack- Gameplay itself isn't so good.- Enemies lack image quality and variety- The RPG and space shooter elements have little focus.+/- Can be hard to complete entirely without help (whether this is good or bad, i'll leave to you.)Links:The game on KongregateThe game on Armor Games (Note: this site doesn't have the updates, so it's more buggy.)The official game guideThe Cafe Guide (for who is having problems understanding the cafe; see 11th post.)The soundtrack links for youtubeEDIT: Added soundtrack review! Altogether, it's in my top 10 Flash games. I notice you didn't comment on the music, which is pretty solid; the main battle track is quite a decent pi

ssuming we're using the same numbering system, I've played 6 and 7 (TEoSD and PCB). Don't think I've tried 11 (SA), though. I'll check it out in my incessant search for a difficult shooter <_

hat is true. While there may be some good strategy in the game, it takes quite some time to get your tatic running. I myself did an attack/inteliggence build, and got trough without much problem. But i don't agree with that "the game isn't challenging" part. Did you actually tried to play the whole game without any deaths, or to get that famous special ending? I still can't do t

The special ending takes a lot of irritating math to figure out and pretty much requires a third playthrough. (-.-) After playthrough 1 you learn how to talk to people multiple times and learn that talking to people enough times unlocks their endings; you then use playthrough 2 to figure out the math behind each person's conversations, and finally you can unlock everyone's endings on playthrough 3. >_< Surprisingly rewarding for something so infuriating, though. I guess that's one sign of a good game: even something wrong seems right in the

Actually, I never died*, and qualified for the special ending after the 3rd or 4th playthrough... except for ONE part (having enough cash). I played it again to get the ending, but still... just a few credits from getting all endings on my first try.*Last boss was hard to survive though, but nothing was stopping me from ALT-F4 and reloading my save... but only once, the second time I managed to survive the entire thing.Oh, and you can just look at the website for who to talk to and when, in order to obtain every ending, and the prerequisites. Wish I knew that before the 4th time I finis
