ow so? As far as we know, all gely did was speed up the inevitable. The reason is still unknown, but i bet it has to do with their childhood because his goal is to 'beat the time stream' and get to past events without experiencing ge.ne.sis. And as the first game showed us, when someone goes backwards in time all it does is create a para

Now the apocalypse is the destruction of all the timelines/dimensions, but after the apocalypse genesis, the creation of the original timeline, happens. And as far as we know, this continues on forever. Thus there have already been multiple apocalypses and many genesises. Also known as an infinite circle as i described it before. The Warden of Tale organization, the people Recitful and gely work for, main goal is to stop the apocalypse. As such, gely knows about the timeline theory and being gely is using it to his advantage. So in the WoG, his goal was to start everything over, basically a reset button, and redo something the way he wants it to be done. But to do change anything, he needs to skip the apocalypse and go to genesis cause if he goes through the apocalypse he dies. And through our experiences in DTRoT, we know that going back in time does nothing. As seen with Chi. What I'm getting at is gely is attempting to change something done in his childhood. And since we know that there is a prequel, roots of genesis. I think it is safe to assume his goal has something to do with that.I hope that helped. I explained it because you need to know the terminology to understand what I was say

It's not that going back in time does nothing, it's just that it can happen without repercussions other than the merging of timelines (which is almost nothing if the timelines are similar enou

hey say a mini-apocalypse happens, which means that it is possible to do something quite horrific if the timelines are far apart. Nothing happened in the incident with Chio because the timelines were almost the same. At least, that's how I understand i
