When I played the game the first time, (not realizing that the game's difficulty was in insane... I retried almost every other time until I noticed that you can reset the difficulty and set the game back to easy... then I managed to beat the game with it.) I noticed that it is really difficult to beat each fights, especially as the game progresses. The strategy guide really saved my butt numerous times. But that raises the question. Would it be possible for extra monsters be added to second game to help the characters level up?I realize that I am asking for impossible. Lv system in of itself must be difficult to make, let alone extra hours trying to make re-spawning critters which players can access if they wish to. I also noticed that the game is "strategy," and having RPG like style might make the game rigged for those that just sit there and fight critters. Regardless, I couldn't help myself but to go around and around for extra monsters to kill when I was stuck on something.Oh and just a rant... Power Overwhelming? I couldn't help but to use that ability... although I was a bit disappointed that Nera still took damage despite the fact that I was using cheat from Starcraft... and i couldn't help but to relate the Fool to Arcon... although his damages aren't as epic as Arcon's..

But seriously, how big will the game be, then? I am concerned for your health... the second part with arena will not be an easy game to create.And.... can I make a suggestion? Move up "Power Overwhelming" perk up a totem pole a bit and make it infinitely better. I cry every time I have the perk on and Nera die

QUOTE (An @ Oct 24 2009, 05:47 PM) quotecAdding training places is actually not all that hard. However, since this game is a tactical RPG (not a pure RPG), I decided to skip that feature. If you can easily beat all the battles by grinding, i think it kinda defeat the purpose of a tactical game.I plan to compensate this with lot more side quests and extra battles to hunt for rare items and more flexible system to follow the story in the sequel. I will add some kind of arena so you can fight unlimitedly for items but not for levels. What do you all think?QuoteEndQuoteEEndFighting for items, it the breaths, would have the same effect tbh, if not worse, imagine all 3 w/ the 30/30/30/20 stat build, i dun see what other items you would get right now. Personally i'd like to see the option of fighting tale over and over, each kill gives you a level, but he gets harder every time, if you save like this though you can't use them in part 2, mostly i wanna try the 3rd tier of perks and have something to work for, maybe require you beat tale on insane to unlock

mmm... As for third tier perks, I just say make some part of the game re-playable with greater difficulty. I want to know what the perks are, but... having just tale memory to beat over and over again seems too much like pokemon game to me. Perhaps allow players to fight for moonshards against with greater difficulty as well as Tale Memory? That will alleviate repetition just a

At any rate, about the arena... I don't think items will be overrated if the items last only for one fight. Before the fight, the game could ask the players if he or she would like to use items, then the player can choose the item(s) of their choosing, then start the game. It will be great for parts where you need that little "edge" to cut through the harder bosses.... but you are right, I would hate to make the game too easy by making too many perm state boosters...Speaking of states and abilities... is there a possibility that Protoss Carrier-like unit will be used in the second part? Actually adding an arena in the sequel would not be too hard. The game is more graphic intense than code intense since I already made the engine and can reuse it. So, if i want to add an arena, I can write some more code to create random battle and use the already made monster and same background. It is actually not all that bad.I still have to think of a good way to allow grinding without breaking the gameplay tho. I want each character to have different builds and not 30/30/30/20 on all three of them. Hm
