1) Exp meter: Currently, is there no way to see how much exp is needed to reach the next level outside of the battle screen?1a) Like gunground, I've also experienced the phenomenon of killing enemies and the exp bar not changing. A numerical meter (#CUREXP/#EXP2LV) wouldn't hurt.2) Conjuring: Would be nice if there were a "Quantity" feature, to make large amounts of health pots at once.3) How exactly do you get your weapon to fire consistently? I've tried using the "mash as fast as you can" method and the "click in roughly evenly timed intervals" method, which seems to work for Nera, but both ways with Gely I've experienced seeing Gely raise his weapon but having nothing come out, sometimes for several seconds in a row, with no other projectiles on the screen.4) On the profile screen, I notice only the Resist and Skill sections have descriptions. Something for the others, like "Agility: Increases Dodge, Attack Speed, and Frozen Resist" would be helpful, though not critical.*On Easy Mode. Sisi dies in, like 2 hits on Medium.Of the three characters, I'm currently rocking Sisily right now. Despite her fragility issues (it's not like you can die in this testing phase anyway), at first level she's the only one whose beast is reliably more than a glorified horse, and she can rape bosses in 2-3 specials, even without items or leveling up. Neraine's primary weapon is itty-bitty and doesn't seem to do much damage. I haven't tested much with Gely yet, but I don't think I ever bother to switch to his poison shot. As far as beasts go, Ladon's speed has the edge at first tier, but more importantly its special picks up gems for you so you don't have to weave into a hail of enemy bullets to get at them. I don't really think Salamander's extra power makes up for it, especially since most enemies die in 1-2 hits anyway. Though I will say that Sisi takes 2 specials with Salamander to take down Flower Giant as opposed to 3 for Ladon.[all future complaints to be edited in h

Sisily's mine-laying weapon is godlike, and the Azure beasts are fairly overwhelming so her high Empathy is potent. Neraine's Azure Dance is completely ridiculous with sufficient Agility. Gelyan is good against bosses due to Toxic Shot but otherwise a bit lacking.Character balance is somewhat close, though, so it shouldn't take much tweaking to fix. I'm more worried about the beasts, as third-tier Crimson beasts are basically useless and third-tier Azure beasts are basically game-winners. Salamander was initially quite underpowered relative to Ladon, and though he's somewhat better now I think he's still very weak; he should probably do about 1.5x as much damage as he currently does, 300 per shot instead of

(Take from that what you will. A lack of sound also means that I could get hit multiple times without noticing, something that won't be the case in the final version. Is there a "temporary invincibility window" after getting hit, like in many arcade games?) Those wind gusts are brutal in conjuction with the cloudhoppers' rays. Spamming beast attacks, again, wastes bosses, as it should. As I'm getting used to the controls I'm switching more often to Flame Orb to deal with larger enemies; against hoppers and fish(?) it's slow, and more importantly, it creates more distracting objects on screen.Maybe it's just me, but the numbers indicate a distinct lack of Azure Stones dropping when I'm going for the pure Azure build.Considering that raising both Crimson and Azure at the same time is a complete waste, every player who realizes this (i.e. every player) is going to have a severely lopsided ratio of Stones at most points in the game. Right now I have 326 Crimson stones and 68 Azure, along with 8 Aquarius Gems and 2 Holy Waters. Getting Holy Waters at this early point in the game seems odd, considering I don't have any Garnets or Poison Blossoms, and I mistook them for recovery items at first.Conjure - Memory RingConjure - Commanding BadgeLv6: +2 Empathy (I'm also not keeping track of how much each attribute point raises each stat, for my own notes. I should be. Bad SNG.)Sisily/Naga Lv6Sunset Trail - Silver - Stupid me, forgot to record, but again a distinct lack of Azure Stones.ProceedNot too much trouble on this one, though I had to pop a potion early on because I hadn't realized how much damage I'd taken. Sisily's Carrot wasn't hurting the green enemies enough, so I switched to Flame Orb, which put a good hurting on the stationary flower enemies as well. This is the first point in the game where I didn't gain a level mid-combat. Probably because I'm overleveled. On the world map, "Angola Bay" remains highlighted. Is this to indicate a boss level?Sisily/Naga Lv6Sunset Forest: Defeated!Oh god, those wind gusts are back with a vengeance! (And more hit points?) Flame Orb would seem to be better here. I might start spamming Frozen Prison more, since Sisi has a ton of Energy at this point and Naga's Ocean Blessing perk synergizes with my focus on Agility over Endurance. One thing annoying is that the plusses next to the "Feed" options keep flashing, as if my Naga is constantly nagging me to give it more stones. I assume this will be fixed in the final version. And now I've gotta run because my parents are nagging me to stop playing video games.Does the game save? We shall see!P.S. Looking at An's explanation of the medals, I ran through Calm Blue again and got "Dazzling Gold" just spamming Carrots with a time of 2043. Usually when I'm playing this type of game, I don't care how fast I finish because the enemies come at the same rate anyway, but it would seem that in WoG new enemies spawn based on how fast you kill the old ones. The optimal strategy therefore is to hug the right side of the screen, so that your missiles hit the enemies faster. The downside being the enemy missiles hit you faster. Sisily's Dodge saved her several times during this run, and I never had to use a potion despite running into several missiles and never raising her Endurance. This gives me a better impression of Nera's beastliness at high levels.P.P.S. (Before quitting) I ran through Calm Blue once more with Ladon, spamming Flame Orbs (1857), leveling up once (no attributes spent at level 6), and got 45 Crimson and 48 Azure stones this time (Medal Bonus 34-36; SCB 20-20). Then I tried a bunch of runs of Sunset Forest and Calm Blue to gather a bunch of Stones. It turns out that making a tier 2 beast, selecting your tier 1 beast again, and feeding it a bunch gives you the tier 3 beast. (I suppose I shouldn't have expected the ability to "re-evolve" your beasts. I had just gone into the process with a different expectation. I suppose I can try for Nidhogg now.) Gargoyle's crap speed and Endurance-based perks aren't exactly synergistic with my Sisily, so I'll be sticking with Naga (who apparently does more damage than Gargoyle? Yeah, Nera is quite powerful even if you can't make mirage boots in this version of the game. Watching the bar, of course.I pump some Azure Stones into my beast and head off to the boss battle. In Windras Forest, I get defeated three times by swarms of enemies, even with spamming Naga's special. Will try harder. Dodging doesn't really seem to cut it when you're fighting three wind birds at once. Perhaps better equipment or Flame Orb spam instead?Lv9: +2 AgilityI still can't afford anything, so I feed Naga again, lose in Windras Forest again, and stonefarm Angola Bay for gold.Conjure - Assassin Bracelet (replacing Commanding Badge)Should there be a "sell" function? Maybe for half the stones you paid, arbitrary value assigned to misc. items?Since Naga is about ready to evolve, I stonefarm Sunset Trail, gaining a level in the process, then make Siren. He isn't looking so great for my Sisily, whose natural health recovery is in the gutter, but we shall see! Freezing all enemies sounds nice to set up my Flame Orbs. "Special" notes should specify a short-range attack, like Nera's. Interestingly he can hit enemies below him, which makes for interesting positioning.Lv10: +2 EmpathyThe stupid massed birds are what's killing me the most. I replenish my stock of healing vials. /sizeoTest Flight #2, Nera/Ladonsizec/sizecTest Flight #2: NeraI'm clearing the battles pretty easily with Power/Agility and Ladon, though it's taking a really long time, leading to only Bronze medals instead of Silver ones. That said, I didn't die on Angola Bay, which I cleared mostly with Crystal Dust, occasional Violet Thunders on the larger enemies, and Azure Dance to waste the bosses at close range.Parasitic Agent is wonderful on large enemies, especially stationary ones - and it works as soon as I push the button! Despite Scythe's piddly damage and all the distracting projectiles flying around, I may even like Cyclop better than Naga.Could the game include a numerical meter indicating how many stones are needed to feed up the beast to the next level?I make Feather Boots and earn silver medals at Sunset Trail and Forest with barely a hitch, then conjure a Pearl Pendant for the hell of it. I'll need to save up more Crimson Stones for the Assassin Bracelet, anyway.Again, Windras Forest. I make a Crystal Armguard. At Level 9 I gold-medal Windras Forest with Nera/Cyclops using a Power/Agility build. Nera spams Azure Dance to utterly demolish enemies, switching over to Crystal Dust for stuff like the plants who have good close range. I use two Healing Vials, one level up, and Cyclop's breath a few times to replenish my HP. In the Taurus battle, if you hover directly over his head, Nera can maul his hitbox while he can't hit her at all with his poison or flower shoot attacks.I feed Cyclop some more Crimson Stones and...Fifteen movement?? Holy ****! (Nevermind, I forgot that I had the Feather Boots equipped. But 12 is still really good.) Perks are lookin' good as well.Huh. When they say "lose control" they aren't kidding. Not for this build, as Nera's Empathy sucks, but I'm looking forward to using it with Sisily. I get decently far, well, farther than with Sisily at least, using Azure Dance on the normal enemies and Crystal Dust on the bat-shooters. Having hand-eye coordination is good.At level 10 I beat Moondrop Forest with Silver, not using Griffin's breath once. Nera has maxed out Frozen Resist. I'm currently looking to get enough drops for a Cursed Pendant or Deep Blue. I make some Healing Vials, just in case, and am looking to level my beast. Since An suggested Leviathan, Crimson it is!Well, I've found a use for Griffin's breath - taking down those freakishly huge what-cha-ma-callits that cast disable. Nera aces Gemini Lake with a gold medal, using one Healing Vial and one level up. Azure Dance = win. Both of the boss levels are hard, will take some thinking.Battle Frenzy's "protective shell" really doesn't seem to be doing anything. Totally not worth being unable to move.Somehow I survive Harpy Isle with a Silver medal. Funny, I didn't see a boss."Golden Apple" does not display the correct conjuration info and cannot be conjured.I feed my beast some more to make Chimera. He's pretty cool, but not exactly synergistic with the dodge-happy Nera. More of an Endurance-based Beast imo, probably for Gely. I find I have an intrinsic dislike of any Beast with movement below 10 (I'm glaring at you, Siren), but hopefully Feather Boots should make up for it... at least until I can find some Illusionary Mirrors!I level up again, to level 14, at the Witch's House. Personally, I think a player should have a good chance of being able to make every item in the game by playing through every area once, without farming. So if the Lady Luck item requires 3x 4-Leaf Clover, and there are 30 Tengus in the game, the drop rate should be 10%. Obviously some of the numbers like Aquarius Stones are going to need tweaking (at least, Deep Blue should cost le

The beast selection screen says "Speed", but the rest of the game calls that stat "Movement." Is this intentional?Well, this is confusing. I've just beat Moondrop Forest with a level 7 Endurance Gely/Ladon/Cyclop and I haven't died once! I don't think I've conjured any pots, either... Did the game suddenly become easier?Gargoyle's speed is noticeably a drag, but what do you expect - it's a giant rock monster.Gely's natural health regeneration made the Harpy Isle Taurus fight a cakewalk, albeit a very, very long one. I'm not sure what Gargoyle's breath attack is supposed to do - I used it twice on Taurus, and barely noticed a change in his health. Very underwhelming Breath so far.Witch's House was the first level where I had a little trouble. Timing is everything in the layzor fights, and when there are other things flying at you it's not so easy to do. Gargoyle's breath was actually quite helpful in the Pisces fights - the only reason it didn't do anything against Taurus, I suppose, is because of his small hitbox.I'm not grinding, honest. I'm just level 13 at this point because I can't beat this level. On some of the levels, it's next to impossible to see some of the projectiles because they're the exact same color as the background, for example the poison flowers in Sunrise Forest. I realize this probably can't be solved entirely short of making all the backgrounds bright pink, but it's something to watch out for, especially as some of us don't have the greatest of monitor resolutions. As much as I'd like a Gaia Vest, I'm not about to grind the Harpy level over and over to get Forest Wings.Wow, Zuu's regular damage with Endurance Gely is absolutely the sickness. Since I leveled up from 14 to 15 after beating this level (granting Gely an extra attribute point), I switched back to Ladon, pumped Gely for the final 3 Endurance, then switched over to Zuu for a total 35 Endurance.
