've heard that the sniper build will eventually overtake the endurance build because the damage formula for regular attacks improves at a quadratic rate, while Soul Pact's damage increases linearly. Sniper Gelyan has excellent durability anyway thanks to the leeching ability from Sharpshooter and Devil's Hunt, and has more than twice the range of a Nature Warden to b

also think Gelyan is powerful. If you give him 14 agility for 3 turns, and the rest into endurance, he can deal over 20,000 damage within that time. It could seriously impair his survivability because of the hp drain, but his rejuvenating heart perk should help that, and adding The High Priestess's Grand Blessing, he could keep damage up indefinitely, while staying in the back. Nera, with no boosts from Grand Blessing, would take 2-3 turns to get 40 power. She could deal over 40,000 damage, which is a lot of damage. Her high magic keeps partial support to the drain, but could easily be killed without enough endurance. And to get enough agility and magic, you need to be near the end of the game. Same goes for Gelyan, so both are about the same. I just like Gelyan's Soul Pact, because it's faster, requires a little less energy, and his endurance is pretty good if he needs to survive an assault. Nera, with support, could easily overpower Gely's strength, but only in terms of strength, not survivability. She's a melee character tank, which will mostly die first, especially with a lot of monsters that are around, or can range. Gelyan, around the middle game, could survive almost every battle. He's extremely crappy without any good power in the early game, but I solved that problem with Grand Blessing on him. It's just so fun, while time-consuming, to get Gelyan's power to 20, 30, or any high number, and then nuke the heck out of opponents(this works only with really slow moving, low range monsters on a big map, or a stationary character, like the Queen Bean). Neraine and Gelyan suck with no good moves, but that's the thing with a lot of games. Both of them are good, depending on play style. I mostly like to keep far, with steady and accurate damage, in most games. Tanking is also fun, but I die too fast when I do that in most games. Sisi is extremely important for battery, and can dish out good damage in desperate situations. Her survival rate is equal to that of a bomb. Power at it's core, but one hit, at there it goes(that might not be a good similarity, but I can't think of any). The tarots are all good, but I'm not going to explain because I've already said a lot. In conclusion, Nera is an awesome tanker, Gely can survive and annihilate, and Sisi can be good backup for energy and att

hile I'm not disagreeing on the damage formulae for Gely, in DtRoT Soul Pact is the best bet for you to go in terms of damage. Plus, not many enemies are white-resistant, while there are quite a few that are black-resist

at least, I think that's what he said. I forgot. Leeching doesn't work if you can't get enough energy. This is my straightforward opinion, biased, and just because I value survival rate to full power and range. Both have their good's and bad's, but favoritism is in all of us, and that's my own opinion......Yeah, I know it seems strange I'm posting this late, but I got nothing to do, I took a nice, long nap, only need 7 hours of sleep, finished all my homework, can't sleep, and it's under 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Just an afterthought, because I don't want the impression of being a snooty little know-it-all with my explanations. Don't want that at all. Sorry, off-topic. Going off

QUOTE (An @ Oct 24 2009, 05:13 PM) quotecDuring my development, I constantly found Gely to be most effective character, specially after he get Armor Crusher or Soul Pact. However, when I designed the battle with the Hanged man, the Death and the Lovers, I realized that Sisily is actually the back bone of the party. Since my other character was using low magic build, they had terrible time fighting by them self (no energy to use their strong power) while Sisily did fine by herself (she can beat the lover at level 3 or 4).In conclusion, I think all 3 of them really need one another to fill the roles. I wouldn't pick the strongest one, but I would pick the my favourite one to use, which is Nera.QuoteEndQuoteEEndwhen you donate to get lovers you must battle??!?!?!

QUOTE (games4471 @ Apr 2 2011, 08:41 PM) quotecI say gelyon is the best since he has the highest endurance range and black resist.Gelyon could use soul pact on nera and sisi and wipe them out in 2 turns, 4 turns tops if the had to fight each other, so gelyon is my choice!! :PBut they would all need to have unlimited energy for that to work, but with gelyon's supeiror HP and range he could still wipe the floor with nera and sisi!!It would take alot longer that's all.In the game i noticed out of all the charectors nera had the least defence and resist.Sisily had the most resist, gelyon had the most HP and the most defence at the begining of the game "road of tales",and i don't know about you guy's and girl's but An sent me a message about having nera and gely have postive feelings for each other!!!!(for the people out there that doesn't know what that means let me explain it to you, they will start to like each other or something like that.) /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />QuoteEndQuoteEEndFew things i would like to point out:1. nera also has the highest agi, letting her dodge everything and attack more times than the other characters. 2. an has already stated that gely and nera were planned to be a couple. 3. In terms of the game there is no best character. You need all the characters or your team would fall apart; end of st

t the beginning it was Gely than as the game progressed, it was Sisi and when the end was around the corner, Nera pwned all of them because of her Moon Waltz....I love using Nera because of that...she makes an AWESOME tank....so Nera is the strongest. (to

Nera is some kind of DPS, because Moon Waltz can't heal more or equal of Nera's HP.Sisi is some kind of mana pool. She's also a decent arc

Hide the useless party somewhere and get Nera to summon both.Use Death to tank.
