sizeo:20/sizeoTo Reject Apocalypsesizec/sizecsizeo:15/sizeosizec/sizecThe time has beginning and the end, but the cycle of that beginning and the end never stops. All time starts with the beginning, called Genesis. All time ends with an apocalypse, where all timelines collide together into maelstrom, until it is once again reformed into one timeline, in which the Genesis can began anew.-*-*-*-*-The storm raged and the thunder brew. Clouds spiraled down to the earth, crashing and annihilating all that stood on its deadly path of destruction. Darkness came as the timelines collided with another. Sentient beings, nay, all creatures panicked with confusion as the Earth swelled with survivors who have made through the first wave of collision. Confused as they were, they agreed on one crucial detail: the world was at its end.Creatures from all over the timeline came. Some collided with another, creating much more deadly form of themselves. Suns multiplied, becoming two, three? four. Heat evaporated moistures of the earth and air. Moons collided, spraying meteors hurling down towards the planet. Earth, along with everything else, was dying.Strange sickness came about from collision of multiple plagues from multiple timelines. It struck every living being, sentient or no. Medical knowledge from all over the timelines was unable to stop the string of deaths. The dead piled up like pyramids. With so little sentient beings left, their respective governing systems failed, and chaos came about. But the people, sentient denizens of each respective timelines, refused to give up.For predators, the sentient beings pulled together weapons to deal with them. For celestial disasters, they preserved waters and used science to counteract the celestial phenomenon such as meteors. For diseases, they worked endlessly to treat and cure the new antigens. For chaos, they developed a new government and executive power. Despite the inevitable, despite the hopelessness, despite the confusion, the sentient beings refused to give into the almighty power of fate. But alas, fragile strength broke, and the sentient beings were overwhelmed by the sheer power of fate. All was lost, and the people began to learn to accept their hopelessness. The world went bleak? Then one renegade came to be.Rebels they were, rebels of fate. Each held enormous power within their minds, and in the times of hopelessness, they unleashed it into the colliding world. Seven individuals they were, and only thing remembered of them is that they had terribly imaginative mind. They came from seven different, distinctive, stable timelines. Though their minds and thoughts were different, their goals were same: to preserve the last of this world. The seven knew that the end was inevitable? no one could simply stop apocalypse. But they didn?t want generations after generations of knowledge to end like this. Countless discoveries have been made, and even greater number of inventions was created. Histories were written down and religions came to be that could provide helpful to those on the other side of apocalypse, for the denizens of the new time would not make the same mistake as the previous did if they had this knowledge. So the seven worked feverishly and without rest. Throughout the colliding worlds, as they had the power to travel around the galaxy at will, they collected every piece of knowledge and history. They collected every blueprint and committed themselves to memorizing them. They dug out lost pieces of architectures, old gears and devices. They talked to last of the historians cowering in the shadows of their study. And the knowledge grew, at first insignificant, but their collective archive became larger and larger. Finally, they succeeded.Knowing that their archive will not live through the apocalypse when the worlds finally ended, they searched for a container, the one who can, with their combined might, survive the end and distribute the knowledge.Oh the joy that sprouted on a young girl?s parents who were informed that their daughter will survive. How eager were they to give up the girl to the seven, and how the young girl cried, longing to go with her parents. The seven gave the girl all the knowledge of every corner of the timelines. Histories, blueprints, mathematics, theories, and inventions? they were all stored inside the vast knowledge database that was the brain. The girl, as she was young, was able to store all and everything that the seven instructed into her. At last, with great effort from both the girl and the seven, the preparation was complete. The seven will miss the girl, whom they have become so attached to. She will miss the seven as well, but more importantly, she will miss the world and the timelines that will never be once she leaves. The eve was near. Each of the Seven blessed the girl with their powers and gave her the essence of their strengths so that she can survive the everlasting maelstrom of Genesis. And then, using the last the power invested in them, one of the seven, whose strength was to reject all and any object, thoughts, or beings, rejected the girl from the current timelines or the ones before them, in which the seven hopped will transfer the girl into the very next beginning of the timelines. So the bearer of knowledge will go on, ahead of apocalypse. However, what they didn?t know was that the seven didn?t send her to Genesis. The seven?s strength was weak and their art imprecise. The girl was instead hurled into the timelines after Genesis, and the essences, which were to protect her, separated into different timelines, away from her. And thus one cycle ended, and another began. Genesis occurred, and the timelines diverged. The timeline will again face the apocalypse? but this time, the ending will not be the same.-*-*-*-*-In one timeline, in one moment in time, and in one location, strange light shined through the moonlit night. It was middle of nowhere, with forests tall with trees and populated with shy creatures. No creature dared to approach the location with the strange light. They knew that what they saw was abnormal, and atypical of the forest. In fact, their old instincts, created since the beginning of time, told them that it wasn?t to be dealt with, that it was best left alone. But sentient beings threw away their instincts long time ago, when their civilizations and skyscrapers were erected. Their instincts were replaced with science, and science encouraged curiosity. Two other strange lights lit the forest. However, this was more predictable, as the creatures of the forests were well versed in the rumbling that?s beasts which bore naked monkeys. The creatures ran away, fearing the rumbling beast?s thundering noises, for inevitably one of their own will be lost if they waited to see what will transpire. From the rough, all terrain jeep, two sentient beings of this timeline, humans, came out. There were one man and one woman, who seemed to be recently engaged. They were traveling around the Yosemite National Park, which was far away from their Manhattan workplace. The man was carrying a gun, the woman close behind the man. The two traveled down to where they saw the light. Curiosity drove them to peer through the caved in earth which bore a single entity. The couple gasped in horror.A single child, appearing no older than three, was lying there. The child had strange clothes on, which didn?t look at all matching with the modern time. She held a single dagger, and around her neck rested a magnificent amulet which reflected the full moon?s light. Her hair was as dark as midnight sky, and her skin was as fair as princesses of the fantasy which she seems to have come from. Her nails, which were trimmed perfectly, were clawing into the doll that she brought. A little white rabbit, which was almost life-like, were lying just besides the child, comforting the child as best as inanimate objects could. Her face, which was as fair and smooth as a porcelain sculpture, was cringed around the forehead, as if the child was having a very bad dream. Her breathing, which gave a sense of relief to the couple, was shallow and rapid, representing the nightmarish journey that the child must have had.The couple stared at each other, unable to think of what to do next. Then, as if by unspoken agreement, the woman walked down first to lift the child, the rabbit doll and all. The man came next, but his intentions were to protect rather than to comfort. The man stayed in the crater while the woman embraced the small child to the jeep. The man soon followed, spinning his gun around for unseen predator. The creatures returned once the strange light from a rumbling beast faded. The creatures could only imagine why the creature was so closely guarded by the naked monkeys. These sentient beings were only protective of their own kind, so why were they guarding a creature so different from their own? The animals of the night then vanished, while some were brave enough to sniff the remaining ruminants of the incident. The forest returned to its normal ways, nursing its wound that were made by such a rude yet alien creatures that was possibly older than the stars themselves.
