chronosyndrome
quoteoQUOTE quotecGensou Maden Saiyuki is very loose adaptation of the classic Chinese novel, "Journey to the West", telling story of four anti-heroes: the highest-ranked buddhist monk Genjyo Sanzo (or just "Sanzo") with no respect to Buddhism, the monkey king Son Goku, the half-demon Sha Gojyo, and the man-turned-demon Cho Hakkai (formerly known as Cho Gonou). The story is set in the mountainous fantasy realm of Tougenkyou. In Tougenkyo, humans lived peacefully alongside a race of demons called Youkai, but the recent efforts to revive Bull-Demon-King (Gyumaoh) have caused most of the Youkai to go feral. Genjyo Sanzo and his three companions are kind of Youkai as well, but their powers are controlled so they can serve the interests of humanity. They have been dispatched by the Sanbutsushin (the Three Aspects of Buddha, who relay the orders of heaven) to travel to India to stop the possible resurrection of the Gyumaoh. Along the way they are beset by inept assassins, bad weather, and their own tragic personal pasts. Meanwhile, the villains, two unlikely confidants, Gyokumen Koushou (Gyumaoh's concubine, a demon) and a nearly mad scientist, Dr. Ni Jianyi (a human), continue their attempts to restore the long-dead king. These experiments, a forbidden mixture of science and magic, spawn the "Minus Wave", infecting all of the demons in Shangri-La with madness and shattering the fragile peace that once existed between humans and demons.QuoteEndQuote

I'll read the review when I have a bit more time; I have, like, 4 minutes now...I just watched the first episode of Gunslinger Girl: Teatrino, and I have to say...The first season was better by far. I liked the drawing style of the first season better. 2nd season just seemed too happy for Gunslinger Girl.EDIT:Ok, I have a little more time now...Back to my ranting on Teatrino. The new drawing style didn't convey the darkness of the first season. Some of the actors voices have changed, and Henrietta did something in the first episode I never thought she would do...She goes into Jose's room and acts all creeper-like with some of his clothes and his desk. Henrietta has too much respect and love for Jose to even think of going into his room without his permission.I'll keep watching it since I want to see how it turns
