Well...A sword on a stick isn't preciseActually it is a blade joined on a stickThe weapon was not designed for combat...Because the blade itself is extremely heavy (~16.5kg)Althought it can preform powerful slashes and cuts. The most famous must be "青龍偃月刀" which is known as "Green Dragon Crescent Blade" in EnglishThe name comes from a ledgend:When the blade was almost finished, a blacksmith had accendentally cut a bypassing green dragon by reflecting the rays of crescent moonThe blood from the green dragon became the finishing touches of the blade and the blacksmith named the blade after the incident. The owner of the blade, Guan Yu, is also infamous for using such blades. Thus, "yan yue dao" is also known as "gaun dao&q

I left a hint in the first line.'I sighed.?What?s wrong, Sisi? You?re usually so happy. Recently all you?ve been doing is sighing.??I?m okay Mom, I just miss my friends.? I sighed again and went up to my room. I checked the clock. 7:15. Two hours and fifteen minutes. I started up my computer. ?I wonder if Gely and Nera are on yet.? I checked the feed. No one yet. I started thinking about the adventures we had last year.Suddenly, a voice shocked me back to reality. ?Sisi? Sisi! I know you?re there.?I turned on my webcam, put on a semi-fake smile and checked the time. 7:39. ?Nera! Wow, you haven?t changed a bit!??Same to you Sisi. Have you talked to Gelyan yet???Not since last time. Hey, turn your head. Oh, you cut your hair! It looks great!??Yeah, and you?re growing yours out, right???You noticed!?The conversation went on like that for a while. I checked the time again. 8:01.?He?s late,? Neraine confirmed.?Yeah, well that?s Gelyan. What can you do???I guess you?re right.?8:15. ?Nera!? I exclaimed joyfully, ?He?s finally on!??Hi girls!? the last member of our trio finally appeared on the screen, ?Sorry I?m late.??Welcome back,? Neraine whispered. We talked about our lives for a long time, until suddenly Gelyan brought up a new topic.?Hey, girls. How would you like to go back through the timelines???Really? Yay!? I exclaimed at the thought of seeing the cute animals and Emi and all the people we met.?Ha ha ha? Sisi, I knew you?d say that. What about you, Nera? You up for it???I guess I can?t really say no, especially if Sisi wants to.??Yay! Nera is coming too!??Okay you two. I?ll send you the link? now!?I checked the time. 8:59. It?s been almost a year since I first crossed timelines. In three seconds it would be nine o?clock. 3?2?1?Click! At exactly one year after I first left this timeline, I did it again. The world melted around me. It felt as though I had just gotten swallowed by a wormhole. Then it all went? white?White? Hey, wait. I know this place! I?d seen this scenery before!?Nera! Gely! Wake up! We?re here!? The bodies of my friends slowly woke up and looked around. Neraine and Gelyan looked almost the same as last year. The only difference was that Gelyan gave himself a somewhat darker look, and Neraine had cut her hair shorter, and even that she wore in a ponytail. I guess I was the only one who changed a lot that year. I wore different clothes, dyed my hair different colours, and even talked and acted a bit differently! Suddenly, I noticed a figure with two orange wings appeared off in the distance, accompanied by a big pink thing. ?Emi!? I yelled at the top of my lungs, ?Emi! Over here!? The figure noticed us and flew over. Clad in a white and orange robe, Emi looked almost exactly like she did when I first met her one year ago.?Sisily! It?s so good to see you!? she exclaimed when she got closer, ?Neraine and Gelyan too! Wow, how did you get back? I thought I?d never see you again! Whoa? Sisi, let go of me. I?can?t?breathe!? Neraine and Gelyan laughed as Emi was strangled by my tight embrace. I was home (kind of) and my I could see my best friend (that isn?t in our timeline) again! As I finally let up, Emi gasped for air. I felt as if I would die. I didn?t realise that I was hopping and screaming until I almost fell off the tree.?Whoa, there, Miss Ecstatic. You just got here, I don?t think you want to die,? Gelyan laughed as he pulled me back up.?I would have been fine if I had used my warp blade,? I retorted, ?Hey, where are our weapons anyway???Oh! That?s right. Gemini?s not here.??Neither is Hydra.? I checked to see if my tarots were still there. I saw the magician and the lovers, but I couldn?t find the others.?Looks like half our tarots our gone. We only have the ones from when we were here last time, not afterwards.??Sisi, you seem so serious for once. Hey! And what?s more, you?re right,? Neraine said, surprised, ?Why don?t we have a little chat with our tarots, shall we?? We summoned all our tarots and asked them about what happened. Of all of them, High Priestess knew the most about this, which wasn?t much. We gathered that since we brought our weapons back with us to our timeline (and then discarded them), they would stay in our world instead of following us to the next. However, the magic seal on the Warp Blade and me probably still worked. I tried summoning it, but the magic fizzled out. Then I remembered: we were across timelines. My warp blade could only warp through space, not time. However, I could make a new weapon(s) with the same seal. ?Sisily, Neraine, and Gelyan,? High Priestess began, ?It is imperative that you have weapons during your mission here. Though you may not know it, you are here for a reason. As such, the weapons you had would not have been strong enough anyways. We have banded our powers together to form you new weapons. To Neraine, we give you Concerto and Sonata. As the embodiments of Ice and Light, the end spheres on these batons are alike. Concerto?s is at absolute zero, and Sonata?s blinds and burns. As well these batons have ribbons on the other ends, which are as soft as the petals of a flower, but as strong and sharp as a blade. To Sisily, we give you the Warp Seal. It is a pair of gloves with two seals each that are much stronger than the one on your Warp Blade, while still retaining synchronization with the seal on you. And as you would have no means of attacking without the seals, we have created a light force field, which will slice most objects that you can find. And to Gelyan, we give you a choice. We have two weapons here for you, so you may choose whichever you like.?They presented the two weapons. One was a triple-barrelled gun, which had one of the barrels higher than the others; and the other was a gun that had a bayonet on top and two side blades. Gelyan chose the former and brandished the weapon in his hand.?A fine choice,? High Priestess observed, ?This weapon is the Chimera. The first barrel, the ?lion?, shoots large explosive shells, which can rip through most armours. The second barrel, the ?ram?, shoots a small pellet that sends a great shockwave into whatever it touches. The final barrel, the ?snake?, sends forth a small amount of a highly corrosive acid, which will melt through anything it touches. Use this weapon wisely. Now I am afraid that it is time for us to go, our tarots are fading away. Goodbye, my friends. You have a long journey ahead of you.?And with that, they faded away into nothing. We all stood there, freezing in the snow. Then I realized, ?Hey, Emi. Isn?t it a lot more snowy than when we were here last???It is. Come on group, I?ll tell you all about it, but first let?s go to Shackpot?s house.?When we arrived at Shackpot?s, he greeted us warmly, ?Sisily! Neraine! Gelyan! How are you???We?re fine, thank you,? Gelyan replied calmly.?Shackpots! Hi! I haven?t seen you in a year! How are you?? I exclaimed, almost as happy to see them as I was Emi.?We are fine as well.??Hey Shackpot! Did you successfully breed the phantasia to grow in your village???Indeed we did, Neraine. Unfortunately, there are currently other problems.??Other problems? You mean like the snow?? I asked, louder than I had intended.?Yes, but that is not the only problem. I recently discovered that lucid dreamers and those that cross timelines are creating a distortion, which is causing timelines to change places. When this happens, the timelines briefly touch, and begin to blend, but the process cannot be completed. While this does not speed up the apocalypse, because the timelines are not fused or in any way the same, this wreaks havoc on the balance and ecosystems of the timelines, hence the snow.?I almost cried. ?You mean we?re the bad guys? Nooo! We tried to save the world! What are we going to do?! Waaaaaaaaaaah???It?s okay, Sisily, It is not your fault. You were oblivious to what was going on. Since the Gates of Time were destroyed, lucid dreaming and other such methods of crossing time have appeared in greater numbers. This is causing much more distortion than when the Gates were connected.?Shackpot?s findings shocked us a little, but I can?t say I was too surprised compared to when he had told us about the time blend earlier.Gelyan was the first to speak, ?Okay, I know this doesn?t sound as bad as it really is, so what can we do to stop it???A good question,? Shackpot replied, ?I have two theories. One is that you must summon all of the magic tarots at once, and their combined powers can fix the problem; and the other is that you must revive the All Mother, who will create an artificial Genesis and restore power and stability to the timelines, as well as creating new life.? ?Thank you Shackpot,? Neraine said, ?I believe that even if they cannot help, the tarots will be a great boon.??In that case, I might be able to provide some assistance. I have three tarots here, and I know someone who can help you find the others. Emi, I believe you know him very well. Typhus! In here!? Shackpot said as he handed out the tarots of the Sun, Moon, and Star to me, Neraine, and Gelyan respectively.?Here comes backup,? Emi sighed, as a tall man entered the room.He was wearing a long black robe with a white shirt and black pants underneath. He was wearing a large belt and a long thin sheath on his back.?Hello sister,? the man said, in a surprisingly higher voice than I expected.?Ladies and gentleman, this is my time-hopping brother, the only other person in this realm to cross timelines, Typhus! I believe he will be accompanying us on our journey.??I shall. But first, I should like to show you something. Follow me.?As we followed Typhus into a dark stairwell, I realised that he didn?t have the hair-wings that most other people in this timeline did. I heard Neraine and Gelyan discussing something, but I focused my attention on Emi and her brother in front of me. They really didn?t look anything alike, but they did share some personality traits.?Maybe Typhus isn?t from this timeline at all, maybe he?s from a timeline much closer to ours,? I thought aloud, and everyone stopped and stared.Typhus turned to Emi and said, ?Sister, your other-world friends have a greater intuition than I would have guessed,? He then turned to us and said, ?Come, we are nearing the top. I will explain everything when we get there.?And where is that exactly? I wondered. As we reached the top of the stairwell, I saw a door with light shining through it, which reflected off the floor and lit up the whole doorway. Just then I realized how odd it was that such a tall stairwell had been inside a seemingly regular sized house such as Shackpot?s. As we entered the room, I realised that it was not part of the ice world below.?This, my friends, is the top of Tierra,? Emi explained.?Tierra?? The three of us asked in unison.?As my sister said, this is the top of our world, Tierra. As you may know, Tierra is made up of layers, two of which you have been to. There are four layers in total. The only one you have now not been to is the bottom layer. On that bottom layer is nothing but a large pit leading to the core. As of now, only five people have ever seen this place, as Shackpot won?t climb up here.?Emi continued where Typhus left off, ?This layer is inhabited only by small animals and flowers, unlike the yetis, bears, and beans on the layers below. Now I be-??Emi, please. They have no need to know at this point. We can tell them when the worlds are fixed.??Indeed we can brother,? she said, and then more loudly, ?All right, for now, this can be our training area. This place has a different sense of time, so if you leave here your wounds will be healed. Just remember, you never know what will happen.?Typhus beckoned us over towards him, as he had moved to a more open space away from the doorway. ?Come!? he said, ?Let us see how proficient you are with your weapons!?When Typhus told us to stop, we were all out of breath. He had still not unsheathed his sword, even though Neraine, Gelyan and I were all fighting at full force. Then again, all he did was dodge our attacks, so why would he need to take out his sword? Out of the three of us, it seemed as though Gelyan used his Chimera the best, but since Typhus took special care to dodge his bullets, I was the one who got the closest to actually hurting him. In fact, if he hadn?t blocked my hand, he would have had a major wound in his side, and we wouldn?t have been able to revert the timelines, and I wouldn?t be telling this story.?You?ve done well,? Typhus said, brushing the dust off of his robe. ?Now, before we start our journey through the dimensions, I would like to show you something.? He took a long thin rectangular three-edged sword out of the sheath on his back. The black bade contrasted well with the orange edge. ?Emi, if you will.?Emi cast a Lightning Aura spell on Typhus. Instantly, his sword shined white. He swung it, and a residual arc of electricity came out. ?Go on, touch it,? he urged. Gelyan reached out, touched it, and recoiled sharply.?Ow!? he yelled, clutching his hand.?This is the property of my blade. While note completely, it absorbs some of the elemental affinity of whatever magic it comes into contact with. If the right spell is used, it can heal whatever it touches.? He sheathed his sword. ?Now, summon the tarots you have.?We did as we were told, and the Sun, the Moon, and the Star appeared. After contemplating this, Typhus drew a star on the ground, drew a circle around it, and drew an arc inside the circle. ?The Sun, the Moon, and the Star. I think this would be an appropriate sign for our group.? He drew five coins of some odd metal from a concealed pocket and dropped them on the symbol. He used some kind of spell, a light came out of the symbol, and when it faded, there lay five medals with the symbol engraved on them. Typhus passed them around and said, ?Now then, shall we go??As we walked backed down the steps, I wondered about the medals that Typhus had given us. Mine seemed to glow in the dark of the passageway. ?It sends mental messages between those who were given it, and glows with a shared magical energy,? said Typhus? voice in my head. I wheeled around and dropped my medal, which made a soft sound as if it had landed on something. Everybody stared at me with a look of surprise. Typhus nonchalantly said, ?Now you try.?Embarrassed, I turned around, picked my medal, and continued walking. While doing so I projected the words, ?Like this?? into the minds of everyone else in the room. Everybody stared at me again, and I blushed.?Exactly,? Typhus said, utterly bewildering everyone else. I think Emi was the first one who understood. She quickly thought a message to Typhus, which I picked up on: ?Should we tell them?? Almost as confused as Gelyan and Neraine, I walked through Gelyan and Emi to the front.?Okay guys, think at someone!? drifted through the air into the minds of both Gelyan and Neraine, and probably Emi and Typhus too.No sooner had I sent the message than a synchronized thought by Gelyan and Neraine replied, ?Hello, Sisily Miharu Takimoto.? Disturbed, I thought about the implications of this and kept walking.Once we got back to Shackpot?s house, Emi and Typhus said two words, ?Follow us.? Immediately they started running, leaving us to sprint after them. Not even thinking about it, we jumped on Tinkfi and told her to follow them. We jumped off and headed into the Crystal Cave and then into the Hall of Mirrors. Only when we had gone through a mirror and were standing in what seemed to be a comfortable living room did I notice that Typhus had been running on the slippery ice. I also noticed that we were outside. And there was no floor.I screamed. I stopped and looked around, wondering if what I had seen was real and, on confirming that it was, started screaming again. ?Hush, Sisily,? came Emi?s voice from beside me, then a sigh and, ?I wish she?d stop pulling stunts like this.??Kyra!? it was Typhus now, on my other side. Suddenly I stopped falling and was actually sitting down on a very soft couch in the living room that I had seen earlier. Dazed and confused, I decided to let the others do the talking.?We are in need of your services,? I heard Typhus say, to whom I assumed to be Kyra, whoever that was. I looked up. Typhus and Emi were talking to a young woman wearing a large black trench coat; a blood-red shirt; tight black pants; about twenty belts, none of which were actually holding up her pants; and a pair of black gloves. There was another man sitting at a table on the far side of the room, but I was too dizzy to see any details, so I closed my eyes before I vomited.?You are in luck. This man has offered to pay the price for you, if you will bring him along.? That seemed to be Kyra?s voice. It was soft, but also strict, and I could hear years beyond measure in it.?Oh,? sounded the charge in Emi?s voice. When she was like this, it was usually a good thing, but scary if you got her mad. She continued, ?And who is he???His name is Reaver,? boomed Typhus? voice, oddly loud. ?And we accept.??Good, it?s all settled then. I will also accompany you, as I have heard of your plans, and to make sure that you are safe and that the price is paid. Now, stand up young ones,? Kyra said, and I found myself already on my feet. She swung the Yan Yue Dao that I noticed was on her back, and a portal appeared in the arc of her swing. We stepped through, and were engulfed in black. When I woke up for the third time that day, I was yet again in another world. It was unlike any other world I had been to before. It looked like late 20th century New York, but with more buildings, taller buildings, and less people, plants, and water. In fact, there were none of the latter three: the place looked devoid of all life. I was thinking about how the place redefined the term ?concrete jungle? when someone laid a hand on my shoulder. I froze, afraid to move in case whatever it was decided to squishify me. I stole a glance, and let out a sigh of relief. It was Typhus standing over me. Behind him, I saw Gelyan and Neraine lying on the ground, with Reaver and Kyra trying to resuscitate them. Emi was sitting just beyond them with her eyes closed.?Gely! Nera! Look out! Reciful is back!? I yelled, in an attempt to rouse the two from their slumber. Both Emi and Typhus smirked as Gelyan and Neraine shot bolt upright, and looked wildly about. Typhus, glad that we could finally get started, said, ?Okay, now that we?re here, I guess we?d better start looking.? He stared at me. Not knowing what to do, I looked around. Then I realised that our tarots might be able to help. I conjured the Sun, and asked it to find out if there was tarot energy other than ours in this timeline. It levitated, pulsed for a couple seconds, and pointed a ray of light to what I assumed to be the South, and came back down. I dismissed it.?There are some, to the South of here. What next?? I reported, and looked at the other two. Neraine looked around for a second, blushed a bit, and conjured the Moon. She asked it to tell us how far away the tarots were. It too levitated, higher this time. The North edge started to fade, but then stopped abruptly.?They?re close,? was Neraine?s report, and she dismissed her tarot. We all looked toward Gelyan, who sighed. He conjured the Star, and asked it to take us to the tarots. It shattered itself into little tiny pieces which looked really shiny, and then started to move towards where the Sun had pointed. Transfixed, I started to follow it. Then, upon not seeing anyone else in my peripheral vision, I looked around. All the others were like me- slowly walking forwards, eyes fixed in front of them. Then I realized that I was not moving of my own volition, which proceeded to stop my movement completely. I took a step forward. Nothing happened. I took another step. Still nothing. I started walking; following the group that was now ahead of me. The others had also looked around, but not noticing anything out of the ordinary, went back to looking straight. I followed them, quickening my pace until I was at the back of the group. Then I realized that the Star just wanted us to follow it, as it had been commanded, and did that any way possible. The best idea was probably to continue how I got us in the beginning. Before I realized it, we were at the place where the tarots were supposed to be. Unfortunately, they weren?t the only things there. There were three people standing in a clearing, which was odd for the place. There was a tall, muscular man in a dogi; a beautiful woman with blonde hair and a black dress; and a very short lady with a cute face, black hair, and a patched hat and dress holding a paintbrush that was taller than me (and therefore her).?Sorry, kids. These Tarots are ours. Anyways, you don?t have the right to use the ones you have. Why would you need more?? the beautiful lady said scornfully, and then laughed one of those annoying haughty laughs that people do when they look down on you. I clenched my fist. Suddenly, Neraine burst out of the group, only to be blocked by the man in the dogi.?Ah, ah, ah. We don?t have time to play. Unlike you, we have a tight schedule,? the haughty woman told us, ?Now if you?ll excuse us, we must be getting back. Ta-ta.? She laughed her stupid laugh again as the painter lady drew a circle of paint around them with her brush and started muttering an incantation. The man in the dogi pushed Neraine back and jumped into the circle. The painter lady finished he incantation, and the circle was enveloped in a dazzling bright light that, when it faded, left no trace of person, Tarot, or paint. We all sighed, apparently thinking how annoying that woman was, and that they got away with the Tarots. Silently, Kyra made another warp circle with her Yan Yue Dao and, silently, we all stepped through it. A moment later, that silence was broken by the sound of me scream

I won't say anything negative, because I don't have much. Your story seems really light, and I mean that in a good way. While Cham's style uses words on top of words to create a detailed story that paints a 5-D movie and my style is more of doom gloom prophesy with hidden meanings every other sentence, yours seems to be more cheerful and aimless, with depth enough to not sound like someone writing children's book but not too deep that everyone gets bored the second paragraph. Seems like everyone will really get into the story as soon as they read it, although it was dangerous when you wrote in.... lump.... blob.... mashed... THING... of words. I found little grammar, just as I found little description. It was written in scatter-brained Sisly's point of view, so it is explainable. But to depict her characteristics more, why don't you try adding pointless descriptions? Or will it take away the light reading characterist

EDIT: Tried it, didn't work. Will try the description thing now... couldn't find anywhere to put anything. I guess it's just my style of writing. If I find something that Sisi is interested in, then I will explain in great det

Unfortunately, there are currently other problems.”“Other problems? You mean like the snow?” I asked, louder than I had intended.“Yes, but that is not the only problem. I recently discovered that lucid dreamers and those that cross timelines are creating a distortion, which is causing timelines to change places. When this happens, the timelines briefly touch, and begin to blend, but the process cannot be completed. While this does not speed up the apocalypse, because the timelines are not fused or in any way the same, this wreaks havoc on the balance and ecosystems of the timelines, hence the snow.”I almost cried. “You mean we’re the bad guys? Nooo! We tried to save the world! What are we going to do?! Waaaaaaaaaaah…”“It’s okay, Sisily, It is not your fault. You were oblivious to what was going on. Since the Gates of Time were destroyed, lucid dreaming and other such methods of crossing time have appeared in greater numbers. This is causing much more distortion than when the Gates were connected.”Shackpot’s findings shocked us a little, but I can’t say I was too surprised compared to when he had told us about the time blend earlier.Gelyan was the first to speak, “Okay, I know this doesn’t sound as bad as it really is, so what can we do to stop it?”“A good question,” Shackpot replied, “I have two theories. One is that you must summon all of the magic tarots at once, and their combined powers can fix the problem; and the other is that you must revive the All Mother, who will create an artificial Genesis and restore power and stability to the timelines, as well as creating new life.” “Thank you Shackpot,” Neraine said, “I believe that even if they cannot help, the tarots will be a great boon.”“In that case, I might be able to provide some assistance. I have three tarots here, and I know someone who can help you find the others. Emi, I believe you know him very well. Typhus! In here!” Shackpot said as he handed out the tarots of the Sun, Moon, and Star to me, Neraine, and Gelyan respectively.“Here comes backup,” Emi sighed, as a tall man entered the room.He was wearing a long black robe with a white shirt and black pants underneath. He was wearing a large belt and a long thin sheath on his back.“Hello sister,” the man said, in a surprisingly higher voice than I expected.“Ladies and gentleman, this is my time-hopping brother, the only other person in this realm to cross timelines, Typhus! I believe he will be accompanying us on our journey.”“I shall. But first, I should like to show you something. Follow me.”As we followed Typhus into a dark stairwell, I realised that he didn’t have the hair-wings that most other people in this timeline did. I heard Neraine and Gelyan discussing something, but I focused my attention on Emi and her brother in front of me. They really didn’t look anything alike, but they did share some personality traits.“Maybe Typhus isn’t from this timeline at all, maybe he’s from a timeline much closer to ours,” I thought aloud, and everyone stopped and stared.Typhus turned to Emi and said, “Sister, your other-world friends have a greater intuition than I would have guessed,” He then turned to us and said, “Come, we are nearing the top. I will explain everything when we get there.”And where is that exactly? I wondered. As we reached the top of the stairwell, I saw a door with light shining through it, which reflected off the floor and lit up the whole doorway. Just then I realized how odd it was that such a tall stairwell had been inside a seemingly regular sized house such as Shackpot’s. As we entered the room, I realised that it was not part of the ice world below.“This, my friends, is the top of Tierra,” Emi explained.“Tierra?” The three of us asked in unison.“As my sister said, this is the top of our world, Tierra. As you may know, Tierra is made up of layers, two of which you have been to. There are four layers in total. The only one you have now not been to is the bottom layer. On that bottom layer is nothing but a large pit leading to the core. As of now, only five people have ever seen this place, as Shackpot won’t climb up here.”Emi continued where Typhus left off, “This layer is inhabited only by small animals and flowers, unlike the yetis, bears, and beans on the layers below. Now I be-”“Emi, please. They have no need to know at this point. We can tell them when the worlds are fixed.”“Indeed we can brother,” she said, and then more loudly, “All right, for now, this can be our training area. This place has a different sense of time, so if you leave here your wounds will be healed. Just remember, you never know what will happen.”Typhus beckoned us over towards him, as he had moved to a more open space away from the doorway. “Come!” he said, “Let us see how proficient you are with your weapons!”When Typhus told us to stop, we were all out of breath. In fact, if he hadn’t blocked my hand, he would have had a major wound in his side, and we wouldn’t have been able to revert the timelines, and I wouldn’t be telling this story.“You’ve done well,” Typhus said, brushing the dust off of his robe. “Now, before we start our journey through the dimensions, I would like to show you something.” He took a long thin rectangular three-edged sword out of the sheath on his back. The black bade contrasted well with the orange edge. “Emi, if you will.”Emi cast a Lightning Aura spell on Typhus. Instantly, his sword shined white. He swung it, and a residual arc of electricity came out. “Go on, touch it,” he urged. Gelyan reached out, touched it, and recoiled sharply.“Ow!” he yelled, clutching his hand.“This is the property of my blade. While not completely, it absorbs some of the elemental affinity of whatever magic it comes into contact with. If the right spell is used, it can heal whatever it touches.” He sheathed his sword. “Now, summon the tarots you have.”We did as we were told, and the Sun, the Moon, and the Star appeared. After contemplating this, Typhus drew a star on the ground, drew a circle around it, and drew an arc inside the circle. “The Sun, the Moon, and the Star. I think this would be an appropriate sign for our group.” He drew five coins of some odd metal from a concealed pocket and dropped them on the symbol. He used some kind of spell, a light came out of the symbol, and when it faded, there lay five medals with the symbol engraved on them. Typhus passed them around and said, “Now then, shall we go?”As we walked backed down the steps, I wondered about the medals that Typhus had given us. Mine seemed to glow in the dark of the passageway. “It sends mental messages between those who were given it, and glows with a shared magical energy,” said Typhus’ voice in my head. I wheeled around and dropped my medal, which made a soft sound as if it had landed on something. Everybody stared at me with a look of surprise. Typhus nonchalantly said, “Now you try.”Embarrassed, I turned around, picked my medal, and continued walking. While doing so I projected the words, “Like this?” into the minds of everyone else on the staircase. Everybody stared at me again, and I blushed.“Exactly,” Typhus said, utterly bewildering everyone else. I think Emi was the first one who understood. She quickly thought a message to Typhus, which I picked up on: “Should we tell them?” Almost as confused as Gelyan and Neraine, I walked through Gelyan and Emi to the front.“Okay guys, think at someone!” drifted through the air into the minds of both Gelyan and Neraine, and probably Emi and Typhus too.No sooner had I sent the message than a synchronized thought by Gelyan and Neraine replied, “Hello, Sisily Miharu Takimoto.” Disturbed, I thought about the implications of this and kept walking.Once we got back to Shackpot’s house, Emi and Typhus said two words, “Follow us.” Immediately they started running (Well, Emi was flying, but that’s beside the point.), leaving us to sprint after them. “Hush, Sisily,” came Emi’s voice from beside me, then a sigh and, “I wish she’d stop pulling stunts like this.”“Kyra!” it was Typhus now, on my other side. Suddenly I stopped falling and was actually sitting down on a very soft couch in the living room that I had seen earlier. Dazed and confused, I decided to let the others do the talking.“We are in need of your services,” I heard Typhus say, to whom I assumed to be Kyra, whoever that was. I looked up. Typhus and Emi were talking to a young woman wearing a large black trench coat; a blood-red shirt; tight black pants; about twenty belts, none of which were actually holding up her pants; and a pair of black gloves. There was another man sitting at a table on the far side of the room, but I was too dizzy to see any details, so I closed my eyes before I vomited.“You are in luck. This man has offered to pay the price for you, if you will bring him along.” That seemed to be Kyra’s voice. It was soft, but also strict, and I could hear years beyond measure in it.“Oh,” sounded the charge in Emi’s voice. When she was like this, it was usually a good thing, but scary if you got her mad. She continued, “And who is he?”“His name is Reaver,” boomed Typhus’ voice, oddly loud. “And we accept.”“Good, it’s all settled then. I will also accompany you, as I have heard of your plans, and to make sure that you are safe and that the price is paid. Now, stand up young ones,” Kyra said, and I found myself already on my feet. She swung the thin Yan Yue Dao that I noticed was on her back, and a portal appeared in the arc of her swing. I was thinking about how the place redefined the term ‘concrete jungle’ when someone laid a hand on my shoulder. I froze, afraid to move in case whatever it was decided to squishify me. I stole a glance, and let out a sigh of relief. It was Typhus standing over me. Behind him, I saw Gelyan and Neraine lying on the ground, with Reaver and Kyra trying to resuscitate them. Emi was sitting just beyond them with her eyes closed.“Gely! Nera! Look out! Reciful is back!” I yelled, in an attempt to rouse the two from their slumber. Both Emi and Typhus smirked as Gelyan and Neraine shot bolt upright, and looked wildly about. Typhus, glad that we could finally get started, said, “Okay, now that we’re here, I guess we’d better start looking.” He stared at me. I dismissed it.“There are some, to the South of here. What next?” I reported, and looked at the other two. Neraine looked around for a second, blushed a bit, and conjured the Moon. She asked it to tell us how far away the tarots were. It too levitated, higher this time. The North edge started to fade, but then stopped abruptly.“They’re close,” was Neraine’s report, and she dismissed her tarot. Unfortunately, they weren’t the only things there. There were three people standing in a clearing, which was odd for the place. There was a tall, muscular man in a dogi; a beautiful woman with blonde hair and a black dress; and a very short lady with a cute face, black hair, and a patched hat and dress holding a paintbrush that was taller than me (and therefore her).“Sorry, kids. These Tarots are ours. Anyways, you don’t have the right to use the ones you have. Why would you need more?” the beautiful lady said scornfully, and then laughed one of those annoying haughty laughs that people do when they look down on you. I clenched my fist. Suddenly, Neraine burst out of the group, only to be blocked by the man in the dogi.“Ah, ah, ah. We don’t have time to play. Unlike you, we have a tight schedule,” the haughty woman told us, “Now if you’ll excuse us, we must be getting back. Ta-ta.” She laughed her stupid laugh again as the painter lady drew a circle of paint around them with her brush and started muttering an incantation. A moment later, that silence was broken by the sound of me screaming.I screamed. The air rushed past my head as I shut my eyes, then slowly opened them again. I suddenly stopped screaming, in wonder and awe of what I saw around me. The earth actually surrounded me. As I looked towards the ground, I had a sensation of falling upwards. And when I looked towards the horizon, I saw that the ground moved into the sky! So that meant…I shielded my eyes. Turning my head towards the sun, I saw that it wasn’t the sun I knew: it was pink! A bright pink, not too light, and extremely pretty. I wanted to reach out and touch it. And even though it illuminated everything around me in regular white light, it wasn’t hard to look at at all! It was actually quite soothing. And behind the sun, I saw the faint glimpse of land, but I couldn’t look directly at it, the sun kept drawing my eyes. I heard an unusually loud thud, so I looked back at the ground. Actually, I rolled over, which sent me rolling down a soft hill: my hitting the ground was the reason for the sound. Other than the grass being soft, the trees were nice, the wind was sweet, and the animals were sooo cute! I remember wanting to squish the cloudhoppers, but these were even better! They didn’t try to attack me, they didn’t growl or hiss, and they only ran away if I acted scary or tried to touch them. I played with the animals for what seemed like hours, until a voice snapped me out of my world.“So, you have come.” the voice said, and it seemed like it was coming from all around me. There seemed to be no source, no speaker. Then I heard more voices, coming from the hill. I ran back up it to find the rest of my team. It seems that they were always waiting for Neraine, Gelyan and I. But what was I to do? After everyone was collected and ready to search, I summoned the Sun.“Oh, there’s no need for that,” the voice came again, louder this time. The world around us seemed to melt, all except that pink sun in the sky. About a second later, the melting reversed itself, and we were standing in a valley. In front of us stood a hut that transformed into a glorious castle once we looked at it. The only way to see the hut was to rapidly move our eyes. A short while later, we entered the mirage castle. As soon as we stepped through the double-doors, the world went black. I could see myself, but nothing else. Everyone else was lost too. I was just about to call for everyone when something caught my eye. This meant that something was there – and I could see it. When I got closer, I was able to see what it was: two tarots. Neraine’s High Priestess, and Gelyan’s Fool cards hung in midair in front of me, as if they were being offered to me. I reached for my own tarot card and looked at it. Then I remembered the medal. I immediately grabbed for it and felt around with my mind for Gelyan and Neraine. Upon establishing them, I sent out a message that I had found their tarots. No answer. I got upset over this, and decided that I wouldn’t get their tarots for them.“No thank you,” I said, trying to sound as polite as I could. Instantly, the two tarots faded, and the world around me restored. My friends were still around me, albeit completely frozen. I waited for about a minute until the others snapped out of it. Then an old man appeared before us.“You have resisted temptation. For this, I present to you what you seek,” came the voice, except this time it was at least partially identifiable, and it came from the man’s mouth. He held out a tarot. I identified it as the Empress.I thought about it, and said that, “I think Emi should get this one. She doesn’t have any tarots, does she?” The others nodded, but Emi politely refused.“No thanks, I can manage on my own,” is what she said. We offered it next to Typhus, who said about the same thing. After much thought, we presented Kyra with the tarot. “We’d much appreciate it if you would stay with us for the rest of our journey,” I told her, bowing my head. Kyra blinked, then laughed and took the tarot.“I’ve come this far already, why should I stop now?” she asked no one in particular, then, “If I’m with you guys the rest of the journey, then Reaver has no reason to leave either, right?”Reaver looked stunned, but resigned himself and agreed. I thanked the old man and ran out into the valley, with the others falling closely behind. Somehow, we’d managed to go through two worlds without a single battle. I was itching for something to do, but I knew that a battle wasn’t always the best idea. I just hoped something would happen s

As we left out of the hut, I realized something. Using the medal, I silently conversed with Typhus. I assume that I wasn?t the first to talk to him about it, because he seemed bored of the conversation.Either way, when Kyra asked if it was time to go, he replied, ?Not yet.? Typhus then proceeded to take out two coins from his pocket. In preparation, Neraine, Gelyan and I began to draw our symbol. Sun, Moon, Star. He then started the chant:To thee? bind?minds? hold. The lives? shine? told.Unfortunately, I couldn?t hear much of it. I did eventually ask him later, but for the moment I didn?t much care. Once the light had faded once again, he gave one of the newly made medals to each of our new members. I waved towards the hut and the old man, and I think I saw him smiling. Just before dropping into the next world, I looked back at that pink sun, and fell gently through the portal. Now why is it I was always falling? That was what seemed like the twentieth time I had gone through a portal and fell. At least it wasn?t high this time. And I managed to land on my feet, too. This timeline had a central sun like the last one, but the similarities stopped there. This seemed like it was made solely up of smallish spheres of land, each with its own gravitational pull. I pondered the fact that out of three new timelines, only one actually had a proper solar orbit. (I assume that the first one we went to did, the clouds blocked all light.) This brought me to ask when and what decisions were made that caused these odd lands. I also wondered why the only timeline that seemed to be changed by the crossing was Emi?s Tierra.During the time I was pondering this, two people I had never seen before came bounding over to me. They were dressed in oddly fashioned shorts and t-shirts, with leather boots and fanny packs, as well as odd golf hats. When they reached my island, they began to shake me very vigorously, and talking too fast for me to understand. They then began to bound away, beckoning me to follow, and with nothing else to do and no one else in sight, I began to follow. The two led me across many diverse island-planets to a green one that had a castle and many small houses, along with a lake and a river that flowed into itself. I tried not to think about how the river worked, and just focused on following the couple that had led me here. They ushered me into the castle, and slowed down as we walked the corridors. Finally I got up the nerve to say something.?Um, hello,? I squeaked. They looked at each other, and then back at me expectantly. I was relieved that I was allowed to talk, if they could understand me or not. ?What am I doing here? Who are you? And where are my friends??They stopped, and turned around to face me. They did their little introduction and waited for a response. The best I can describe it is that it was a short little dance, and then they struck a pose. They cheerily proclaimed their names to be ?Jessica and Io!? and then bantered on a bit too quick for me to catch. Something about them working for the king.I asked again, ?What am I doing here? And what about my friends?? They just looked at each other and kept walking, motioning me to follow. We entered the great double doors that led to what I thought would be the throne room but ended up being some sort of waiting room. It had a table with some chairs around it in the middle, a bookcase to one side, and some other chairs scattered around the remainder of the room. There I saw Typhus, Kyra and Emi sitting next to each other talking about something; Neraine and Reaver sitting alone, doing god-knows-what, and Gelyan reading a book near the entrance.I headed over to bother Neraine while Jessica and Io went to converse with Typhus. Soon after, the couple went to the larger pair of doors, which were otherwise identical to the already-large wooden ones I had come through.?You are now ready to meet the King!? They announced simultaneously, and opened the great doors. Through the doorway was an extremely large stone room, totally unalike the one in which we had so recently been lounging. Two large banners hung on the walls, and a red carpet stretched from the doors to the throne. I was soon bored of the room, and set my eyes on the figure standing just in front of the similarly boring rock throne. He was tall, bald, and old. His hair, what he had left of it, stretched down and became part the long white and silver robe he had on. He looked somewhat like the stereotypical old sage-man in fantasy comics and movies. And, of course, he was blind. Not that that was immediately obvious, other than the fact that his eyes were gray and had no pupil. But when he asked who it was, Jessica and Io responded, ?It?s a group of Newcomers, sire.??And what are these Newcomers looking for?? The couple looked at each other, as I now realized they did quite often, and whispered something to Typhus. He spoke up, ?We are looking for any Tarots that may be here in this timeline.?The King didn?t look very surprised at the news. ?And how are you planning to find these Tarots you seek, if they are here at all???If we may be allowed outside, I believe we can provide a demonstration.? This reply caused the King some thought, but finally he agreed. Wordlessly, the ten of us left the building, and once outside, Gelyan, Neraine and I summoned our respective Tarots. They went through the motions: searching, locating, and showing the way. But before we left, we still needed the King?s approval.?I will allow you to go adventuring through our land, but you will need accompaniment. Io, Jessica. I am entrusting to you the job of following this group wherever they go until their quest is complete. Understood?? The couple looked at each other and, turning back to the King, nodded. I?m not sure how he received the nod, but he turned and went back into the castle, leaving us to follow the S
