QUOTE (Eksodus @ Jun 6 2010, 02:19 AM) quotecHmmm... normaly if want short me people writes Eks ;p(but ok can be). I know that it will be real time based, but i want to say that SSS isnt game where you need to think and in my opinion forcing to think and making team in Ge.ne.sis is very big plus(and i dont really like RPGs where you have only one person[so i cant play long Diablo or other H&S]. I started RPG playing with Baldur's Gate and i very like RPGs where you making well balanced teams). This still can be something else than SSS and i hope that it will be.QuoteEndQuoteEEndWell, SSS can require some thinking and strategy. It doesn't have to be a pure DPS focus game, like most other SSS. For example, Elemental attacks could be factored into it, meaning that for many attacks, there will be strengths and weaknesses, as well as hard and soft counters to various enemy attacks. As well, An could work in some kind of High Ground advantage system, or maybe a Cover system, where either your evasion is increased, or other objects will absorb enemy hits for you. In addition, High Ground could provide a damage boost or something like that. So just because something is a SSS, that doesn't mean that it has to be a cut and dry DPS focused game. An's an artist, and as such, he can take artistic license on it as a ge

I can really feel the pressure here xDAlso, yeah, I plan to overhaul the battle system in Into the rabbit hole. However, it is still a tactical RPG game and will require players to build a team and make strategic decisi

hat's the pressure though, Glory. Sometimes it can be hard to create sequels (or other things) that live up to the expectations of being as good as the first. I liked Shapely and Bear Rampage Island too, though, even if they are nothing like Ge.Ne.

QUOTE (Gloryfinder @ Jun 7 2010, 02:22 PM) quotecAt the same time you can also remove pressure; it really depends on what perspective the person that the expectations are directed at choose to take. What I'm trying to say is: instead of worrying about people what other people are expecting from you, just continue doing what you're already doing and know that our end result will be enjoyed. While not an experienced game creator myself, writing music is kinda like making games. Because of this, I can say that most game designers and musicians (who aren't doing it for the sole purpose of making money) create what they do to be enjoyed by others. If you're main goal is for people to enjoy your work, then you won't feel as much pressure because you're more focused on making it fun and less worried about whether people will pay for it or not.QuoteEndQuoteEEnd...I like you. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />I can see where your coming from, but if anyone is like me, then they know that it's pretty hard not to feel pressure when there's so much on your shoulders. Besides, pressure is not a bad thing; too much pressure is. A little bit of stress never hurt anyone. If anything, I personally have been motivated into action by a bit of stress about someth

Those were small colab works that I made in matter of week; even though enjoyed making them, they are certainly not devoted projects like Ge.ne.sis. o now my post made stress? Ehh... its hard to write good post then... Anyway all RPGs should have good characters(done), good story(done, but i dont know what story you making in WoG then I cant say) and I would like to see more character speaking(I mean of coure more text and dialogs between characters not voice), beacuse in Ge.ne.sis was nice but I think that characters can speak more, this will give them more depth and many times its good to read how they arguing or saying something what makes player funny(so shorten version is: Can you make in your future RPGs more dialogs between characte

I'll post a basic explanation of a single beast's abilities every couple days. Or maybe every day at start, and then I'll slow down to every 3 days. Iunno, somewhere around there.'Course, the explanation will be quite basic; aside from character starting stats, we're still beta-testing, so numbers aren't fi
