Where is the teaser chapter??? I don't know where it is!!!And... Jap weapons are too overrated... katanas are actually pretty weak. It gets dull after cutting through roughly 2~3 bodies, unless they are smelted to perfection by a famed smith. Ninja knives and stars are just as good as throwing knives, with exception of them being slightly cooler than throwing knives.... I guess this is because I'm Korean, who invented freaking Turtle ship, which is the first metal-encased ship ever, that I find Japanese weapons rather bland. Did they create world's first mobile rocket launcher platform? first mobile towers? I don't think so...Btw, first rocket launcher was invented by Chinese, same goes for first flamethrower. But the first massive-scale rocket launcher is Shikuchon(sorry if I misspelled it...), which is created by Koreans to fend off large-scale armies from Mongol or China. Mobile towers were also created to ensure safety of archers when they were shooting, and in essence, it is a "War Wagon" because it was literally a chariot encased with walls. They invented lot more other weapon platforms I think... but I don't remember right now...Also I might want to add that we INVENTED guns, not bought from Portugal, like Japanese did. Although... I wish it was more widely distributed..... my only wish for Korea is that we stop having political corruption and start working on stuff..... Bows also require a frikkin' ton of strength to use properly. (Seriously, every time I see some willowy princess or anorexic elf wielding a bow that's longer than she is tall because "bows require less strength than swords" I feel the urge to scream. But that's way off-topic

And as for crossbow.... actually it is quite easy to use. It is almost as practical as a handheld gun..... only problem was the sheer strength required to pull the strings. Crossbowman in the medieval ages carried around shields as well as crossbows so that they can protect themselves as they loaded since it took so much effort and time to load that thing.That is precisely why chukonu... is that now you spell it? I forget... is so important. It allowed conscripted soldiers of China to be effective. Remember that China has vast population. And as EL said, these crossbows will shoot dozens of volleys at once, then require huge time loading. But the simplicity of the shooting makes up for the loss. Unlike conventional crossbows and bows... not to mention melee weapons... it doesn't take time to train and learn. That's why this is important invention... it allowed China to use its sheer populous as an advantage in wars and send down volleys after volleys of arrows.... or bolts, in this instance... at an enemy. To be able to conscript thousands and simply give them these bows to be effective..... this weapon was very effective indeed.And in terms of strength, remember that China didn't go around surrounded in cans like Knights of west. Most Chinese soldiers were ill-equipped and their armor was little more than the cloth on their backs. It didn't take much effort to kill the enemies. The problem with China from the old days was issue with equipping their immense army. So with exception of elites, which took time fighting major battles or defending major settlements, chukonus had enough strength to kill easily..... but yes, compared to ordinary ranged weapons, even during this time... it didn't have the strength of conventional bows and crossbows used during Ch
